Current research projects
The Sparks Research Group focuses primarily on materials informatics, using data-driven tools to accelerate the discovery of new materials. This TEDx Salt Lake City talk gives a nice example of how materials informatics can change the pace of materials discovery.
Our group also does quite a bit of experimental work with labs and tools set up to work on ceramics, batteries, fuel cells, thermoelectrics, and much more!
