GMP «Arithmetic without limitations» Donating hardware to the GMP project

The quality of GMP is mainly a result of careful coding, but the testing setup is also very important. The GMP test environment needs further work, and it is our hope that you can help!

We are continually looking for computer systems that can make our test environment more complete. See the table below.

CPU system type planned operating system
Intel Ivy Bridge PC GNU/Linux
ARM Cortex-A8 Devboard GNU/Linux
ARM Cortex-A7 Devboard GNU/Linux
Alpha 21264 / EV6x Compaq or HP GNU/Linux or BSD
Core X Apple Xserve Mac OS X

Can your help? Do you or your company have any of these systems that you are willing to donate to the GMP project? Then please contact us at gmp-devel@gmplib.org.

Due to space constraints, we can typically only use rack mount systems, 1U or 2U.

GMP aims at supporting a very wide set of systems, not just the latest systems. But this is not the only reason for that we need old systems in our tests setup; broad testing has shown to improve the quality of the code.
