E-mail, Proposed ECE Current Topic – Each student proposes a current topic in the field of electrical and computer engineering for a written 3-4 page research paper and a formal 5-minute (individual) oral presentation using PowerPoint.  The proposal must list a primary article and two articles the primary article references that the written report reviews.  Instructor must approve topic.

 

Research Paper, ECE Current Topic – Each student writes a 3-4 page research paper about a current ECE topic based on a primary article and two articles the primary article references.  The technical level of this report should be appropriate for an undergraduate EE audience.

PowerPoint, ECE Current Topic – Each student gives a 5 minute presentation (individual) using PowerPoint about a current ECE topic.  The technical level of this presentation should be appropriate for an undergraduate EE audience.  Associated activities include critical listening and feedback.

Resume & Cover Letter – Students write a resume and cover letter for an EE job opening found on the web.

Clinic Preferences – Student teams read clinic reports from previous year's technical open house and list their preferences for clinic papers (from one of which a poster will be made).  The instructors will use this information to assign clinic posters.

 

Team Agreements – Each clinic poster team creates a list of agreements governing their interactions.

 

Clinic Poster – Each student team prepares a poster describing one of last year's senior project clinics.  These posters will be presented to the class and may be placed in hallways at the end of the semester.

E-mail, Clinic Assessment – Each student writes a short e-mail assessing the status of the clinic described by their poster.  Each student will also write a proposal for a continuation of the clinic described by their poster and assess the performance of their team.  The assessment will include the allotting of an imaginary bonus $10,000 to other team members.
