As your final project, it is important that you include credits. Usually you merely list each individual involved and their roles. Here is a good list of traditional Film/TV roles. Machinima roles that we imagine may be in your credit list include:
- Director - this is the person in charge of pretty much everything on your team.
- Scene Designer - mostly working in Hammer
- Scene Choreography - mostly working in Faceposer
- Scene Design and Choreography - if someone did both
- Editor - does the post process editing
- Composer - wrote the music
- If some of your team members had leadership roles, you can add on "Manager" or "Supervisor" or even "Lead" to the beginning of their title (for example, if you had several people doing Scene Design, their leader could be: "Scene Design Manager" or "Scene Design Supervisor" or "Lead Scene Designer". You can also give the "Lead" role to someone who isn't really a manager, but they do the bulk of the work.
- Other areas that you may want to acknowledge - sound effects, special effects, Foly artist (someone who creates sound effects as opposed to just finding them).
Make sure that you acknowledge any creative commons licensed material that you may be using. Usually the author of those items specify how you are supposed to recognize them.
In addition, it is important to recognize the importance of the teaching staff. The roles that seem best for them is Executive Producer. So, make sure that you include:
- Executive Producer - Robert Kessler
- Executive Producer - Mark van Langeveld
- Executive Technical Producer - James Anjewierden
- Executive Creative Producer - Jana Schurig
Also, we need to recognize the EAE program and the University of Utah. You can do that by putting in the short production piece (here) or merely list the following:
- Produced at the University of Utah in the Entertainment Arts and Engineering Program
Lastly, it would be good to mention the class and which semester this is:
