Applying a Color Map
So, I'm wondering what it considered acceptable for this.
For example, say I were to take two RGB values rgbMin and rgbMax and calculate a range for each of the individual RGB components. After I do this, I multiply each of these ranges by a percentage(Determined by point data) resulting in a color mapped as so rgbComponentMin + ((Range) * percentage). Would this be considered acceptable? It would be the equivalent of applying a 2 color gradient map.
